Laura is the real deal! She is the type of personal coach that gives the profession a good name. Laura was the lead teacher of my Creating a Life Worth Living program for 10+ years and worked with countless students on finding their “life worth living.” She brings clarity of vision to every problem and a spirit of enthusiasm to every possibility. When you hire her you are also hiring imagination, optimism, steadfastness and empathy. There are some people who see only what is already there. Laura has the gift of seeing what might be and the skills to help realize those ideas.

Laura’s coaching is very customized, personal and uplifting while always building towards the future. Laura’s calendar and coaching systems are very clear, professional and organized. It was always easy to communicate and schedule together even though she was in California and I was in Russia or Norway. She bravely asked deep and inspiring questions truly dedicated to me as her client, always willing to commit herself to the co-creation of the results in my life. As a result of our work together I have come to a new vision for my life that I will hold clearly for my future.

I began working with Laura about 10 years ago when I was newly recovered from a serious illness. When I was sick I began to question my career, my lack of wellness practices, my relationship to my body and my overall happiness. Over the past decade, Laura has been instrumental in my envisioning and achieving a more fulfilling, meaningful, and joyful life. Laura helps me see the big picture and then prioritize and focus on what matters most.

With her clarity, support and guidance, I have:

  • Earned my certification as a Professional Co-active Coach
  • Weaved my coaching practice into my existing role and found greater happiness in my career
  • Asserted and advocated for myself both personal and professionally
  • Designed a wellness practice that allows me to take care of myself but is not restrictive
  • Transitioned from illness and inactivity to training for and completing two half-marathons
  • Developed a respect for my body and a new found appreciation for my physical capabilities
  • Currently in the process of relocating to a new city for greater personal happiness

Laura holds me accountable to my dreams and has been my champion every step of the way. I do not believe I would have attained this diversity of accomplishments without her.

Taking the Creating a Life Worth Living class with Laura Geduldig helped me to accentuate the parts of my artistic process that were working and reshape the parts that needed strengthening and support. I enjoyed meeting other artists of various types and skill levels and hearing their reactions to my work and process. This class served as an incubator for the early stages of my documentary film “Crime After Crime,” and it helped give me the courage to set my sights on the Sundance Film Festival as the place where I hoped to premiere my film.

Laura Geduldig was influential in my success because she encouraged me not only by saying the things I wanted to hear, but also by kindly but firmly saying a few things that were harder for me to admit. Altogether, the guidance I received helped me stay focused and confident. Eventually, “Crime After Crime” did premiere at Sundance–and the film went on to receive 20 awards as well as a national primetime broadcast, and it created a positive impact in the real world.

As my coach, Laura has been a real source of clarity and focus for me for several years. She has helped me navigate many decisions and prioritize what is most important, since I often have a number of different projects on my plate. Through our work together, her understanding of the theater and film industry has been insightful and wise, even though she herself has never worked in the entertainment biz.

She has been extremely helpful in encouraging me to set goals. She also helps me discover fresh ideas about how to approach the inherent challenges in a professional career as an actor, writer, director and teacher. Having Laura’s fresh eyes on the task at hand helps me focus and make the best choices for my career and for my life. Laura is also very good at understanding all kinds of people – and has great ideas about how to communicate with people from various areas of my work and my personal life.

Laura is very resourceful and positive. She is great about speaking up if something does not sound right for my life goals and intentions and she will explore my options with me. Laura has helped me become much more accomplished than I ever would have on my own. Sometimes the tasks at hand seem overwhelming, but after a session with Laura, I am often surprised at how quickly I can get things done and still have extra time to add in more tasks. Just knowing that I have a phone call with Laura a few times a month is always a great motivator for me to get my daily tasks completed.

Laura has helped me tremendously at two different career/life junctures. We set specific goals and accomplished them with the outcomes exceeding my expectations. Laura was always there to keep me on track, focused, and motivated. She is smart, warm, and encouraging. I’ve recommended Laura to many friends and really cannot say enough good things about her.

I came to Laura knowing that I wanted to make a change in my career and lifestyle but did not know exactly what that looked like. Before Laura I had tried to make those changes alone but eventually felt as though I was unable to make significant progress towards my goals. As I began to work with Laura, the dream became more tangible and the road more defined.

Laura has a gift for actively listening on a very deep level and being a champion for her clients. She brought my values to the forefront and held me accountable to living in alignment with my beliefs. What a gift! With her guidance, I packed up my previous life, traveled alone through Latin America and Spain for 7 months, and transitioned into my dream career of being a Dating and Relationship Coach!

Laura was my Mentor Coach throughout my training at The Co-Active Training Institute. She supported me every step of the way as I learned the Co-Active model of coaching. After over a year of training culminating with an oral and written exam, I am now a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). I couldn’t have achieved this goal without the mentoring, coaching and business launch support that Laura has provided for me over our years of working together.

It is also important to note that Laura was my champion when life circumstances unexpectedly became very difficult. She reminded me of who I was, what I stood for, and how strong I was. She was a pilar that was rooted firmly in the ground that brought strength, resiliency, and courage. I cannot recommend her enough!

With the support of Laura Geduldig, I am living an intentional life I only imagined in my dreams!

A respected colleague and friend recommended Laura as an effective and results-oriented coach, and I am so appreciative. When I first spoke to Laura, I was facing a life and career quandary. On the one hand, I loved my work with its 24/7 adrenaline high. I loved my boss, the organization and its mission. The flip side was I had worked with great dedication (and results) for my entire career and had placed my relationships with family and friends behind work. Having experienced the death of a parent and seeing people close to me facing health issues, I re-examined my life and wanted to nurture the important relationships that I had taken for granted for most of my career. I wanted a life that had purpose, which meant I had to make a dramatic change. Laura proved to be the perfect coach for my journey.

Throughout our coaching engagement, Laura listened carefully to my hopes and dreams as well as my concerns and obstacles. She helped me identify what was holding me back – and through reinforcing what I shared with her at key points, she kept me honest and true to the life I wanted to live. She pushed when I needed to be encouraged and paused when I needed time to reflect. Most important, when I was ready to jump into my new life, she was on the phone helping me pull the cord and I drifted knowingly into a safe landing with my parachute billowing boldly in the wind.

Life after Laura is more than I dreamed it could be. I am doing work that aligns with my values, while also carving out a life that includes long walks by the ocean with my two big dogs, relaxed time spent with both old and new friends and quality time with family. I am content, happy, healthy and blessed. I guarantee my new life would not have been possible without Laura behind me every step of the way.

Laura’s coaching was instrumental to my success, and I am stronger, directed and more confident because she showed me what is possible. Life is good – and I am engaging Laura once again as my coach so I will stay true to the life I have created.

Laura pushed when I needed to be encouraged and paused when I needed time to reflect. Most important, when I was ready to jump into my new life, she was on the phone helping me pull the cord and I drifted knowingly into a safe landing with my parachute billowing boldly in the wind.

Everything in my life was going nice and smoothly. Wife, kids, job, mortgage… But I felt stuck and bored with everything and everyone in life. I looked around and could see how my boring life will just roll on like everyone else around me. Big yawn. I felt like a robot living in a box, driving to work in a box, working in a box. Everyone was living in a box. No soul, no creativity, no excitement…

About 2 years prior to all this, my wife, Susie Lubell, took a class called “Create a Life Worth Living” with Laura Geduldig, and it completely transformed her life. She quit her well paying marketing job and started an art business selling her watercolor paintings. My wife encouraged me to talk to Coach Laura and that started the ball rolling…

Ultimately my year of coaching made me understand that I needed to uproot my life in California and move back home to Israel. I quit my job, sold our house in Silicon Valley, pulled our kids out of school and moved back home. But more importantly I learned how to “simply notice” my inner thoughts that were sabotaging me. Laura’s coaching put me in touch with how my thoughts influence my emotional state. I began to realize that although I sometimes experience sadness and darker thoughts, I don’t have to be destined to a life of depression. Coaching with Laura helped me explore how to be happy with my life, to make a plan that feels satisfying and remind myself of the tools I can use to create fulfillment in my life.

Laura helped me look at my life and start to think where I want to take it. She enabled me to make some concrete and real changes that set me on a path to achieve my goals in very practical ways: to allow myself to change. I learned that stating my dreams to myself and to the world in a clear and detailed manner is the first and necessary step to making them come true. I am now living in Israel, running my own consulting company, working an amount of hours that allows me breathing room to hike, dance and spend quality time with my kids.

During my sessions with Laura I made some financial decisions and changes that would allow me to pursue my true calling, which was to be an artist while also spending more time at home with my small children. We strategized an exit plan from my 9 – 5 job which included building up my artist portfolio and writing a viable business plan to make money from my art work.

As a result, I left my boring job and began selling my work online with the goal to earn $1000 a month. Ten years later I have over $100,000 in annual revenue from my art sales. I’m still available in the afternoons when my kids are home from school. And a few years ago I was able to support our family while my husband Micha, after working with Laura, took time off from his profession to explore his own creative yearnings without the confinement of his conventional job. Working with Laura was one of the best decisions my husband and I ever made. It literally changed everything in our lives.

Laura transported me from overwhelm to overcome. Over four short months, Laura’s empathic coaching and support enabled me to step out of my comfort zone to reach my targets, ask for help when needed, and ultimately kick ass — to move cross-country from Kansas City to the San Francisco Bay Area.

We turned my tall to-do list into a tangible real-time schedule. We designed it as precisely as a transit map, so each week of my journey brought me one step closer to my destination. With her life coaching, I achieved my dream goal.

Through phone calls and emails, we bridged the physical and emotional sides of the move. She held me accountable for my actions and found ways to squeeze in a few more tasks each week. This included downsizing, hiring contractors for my house, listing and selling it, as well as preparing myself to uproot and transplant into my next chapter of life.

I can’t say enough good things about Laura. She helped me to get to a place I never thought I would get, graduate school for Social Work at the age of 60! I came to Laura feeling dissatisfied with my lack of a real career after many years of work. I wanted to make changes, to find meaningful work, but felt so overwhelmed and burnt out that I didn’t know how to begin. She helped me to get started and nurtured me through what would become a 2-year exploration of my interests and passions, while doing some serious soul-searching. Along the way were many ups and downs and Laura was there to listen to self-doubts, help me up when I stumbled, and cheer on my successes–even the little tiny baby steps. Her enthusiasm is boundless.

For me, the value of having Laura as my Life Coach was having someone who could guide and support me, while also gently pushing me to be the best I could be. Some weeks I would think I hadn’t done much and was feeling a bit down, but I’d have my sessions with Laura and get re-inspired to get back out there and keep going. I recommended Laura to another friend and she was just as enamored with her as I was.

The qualities I most admire in Laura which make her such an outstanding Life Coach are her positive attitude, her genuine enthusiasm, and her empathy. I know I wouldn’t be where I am now–in graduate school, on my way to a new career as a Social Worker, doing meaningful work that I believe I am more suited for–if not for Laura’s kind, patient, and diligent guidance.

I got my PCC in 2007. In January 2015 a coach colleague challenged me to get my MCC. No big deal… I thought. Well, after two MCC assessors listened to my coaching, I was stunned at the feedback. One assessor could not disguise her astonishment at my lack of mastery of the ICF Core Competencies. Serendipitously, I found Laura who was gracious and inspired me through her master level coaching and integration of the ICF 11 Core Competencies. I thought to myself, “If Laura can coach masterfully, I can too.” I hired Laura as my Mentor Coach to support me in getting my head and heart in alignment with the core competencies. Laura helped me stay on track with this rigorous process of becoming an MCC level coach. She held the bar high as she evaluated my coaching calls and communicated my areas of growth and learning with clarity. I’m proud to say that I am now an MCC coach! Laura Geduldig and I worked together for 5 years at the California AIDS Ride from 1995 – 2000. She was the Associate Director and I was the Director of the San Francisco office. According to my calculations, during that time Laura worked with over a thousand of our riders, providing 3,500+ hours of one-on-one coaching and support. Although our participants were all working towards one collective goal: riding their bikes 600 miles to raise millions of dollars for AIDS charities, they all needed individualized support to reach that goal. Laura’s coaching motivated our participants to move mountains in the pursuit of their larger dream of ending the AIDS epidemic.

Laura has a special talent for inspiring those around her to go beyond what they thought was possible. As her previous supervisor, I feel very lucky to have worked with Laura and gained so much from her example of compassion and enthusiasm for others. In retrospect, Laura was a pioneer and innovator in the emerging field of coaching. Her years at the AIDS Ride were a crucial environment for her to have hands on experience learning how to motivate a wide range of people. It makes perfect sense that she went on the become such a successful professional coach.

I first met Laura on the dance floor as my Nia teacher. Since we are both body centered people I knew that Laura would be a uniquely positioned coach who could support me in building my Somatic Therapy business. Our coaching work helped me articulate what my offering was and this clarity, in turn, allowed me to create my new website and build my business. Not only has our coaching helped me to do the practical stuff, but it has improved my relationship to myself, letting go of defeating self-talk and procrastination. Years ago, one emotional day, I decided that it was time for me to make a big change, and leave my role at an organization where I had worked for over a decade. Driving home, in a lightbulb moment, I realized I should call my former coach Laura Geduldig, and see if she could help me navigate the transition and determine where to focus the next chapter of my career.

I’m so glad I made that phone call! Laura brought forward empowering questions, a positive vision for what’s possible, and structured exercises that got me not only planning for my present, but planting seeds for my future. I have been coming to Laura’s classes for approximately 2 years. Laura knows how to connect and inspire as a Nia teacher. I always feel safe in her classes and free to express through movement whatever feels right that day. Laura is a generous soul who offers the structure of Nia, but leaves room for all of us to explore and move in our body’s own way.

I like myself in Laura’s class! I also get a great workout! Laura adds her own flair to each class she teaches. She was recently inspired by the choreography of the Alvin Ailey Dance Group and expertly wove pieces of it into her class, along with some of the music from the performance.

The result: beautiful! It was spiritual and healing, and inspired tremendous joy for me! The class allowed for deep expression through movement and a strong sense of connection and belonging with our community, and as human beings. I come to Laura’s Nia class to dance, feel joy, connect with my community, sense my body, practice self-care, express myself through movement, and to exercise.
